I ♥ Copenhagen!
It’s been now nearly 1 year since I am living in Denmark. During this time I had the chance to see how danes live, what their habbits are and how do their settlements look like.
Not much of a big country, 5.5 million inhabitants, has a lot to offer though! Great life expectancy, a very good social system, not that bad weather and incredible typical danish design would make a pretty good background for the smallest of the nordic countries. Let me take you on a journey full of mystery and enjoyment straight to the capital - COPENHAGEN.
The weather was good to the nordics so we could fully enjoy a outdoors day. As it turned spring, the nature came alive again, the cherry blossom trees started blooming covering the landscape in pale rozy nuances.

Me just being me, as usual.

Free minded and free spirited, danes have developed the cult of the bicycle. You can always see the “happy danish people” riding their bike to school, to work or mostly anywhere.
Walking along the city, through the squares and labyrinthine streets you may notice a view similar to the one from Amsterdam. The bridges over the canal and the buildings on the side clearly rebuilt the Dutch style.

One of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen - the old building of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, became my new interest since it’s design is so unique. Not because of it’s green roof nee, those will follow you all over Denmark, but because of it’s spire! It’s an incredible representation of fours dragons with their tales twisted towards the top, ending in a spear with three crowns.
It’s impossible to walk on this streets surrounded by fantastic arhitectural aliens and not fall in love with the city :).
This is one more example of why I♥Copenhagen!, and not to forget, this church is just around the corner of my favorite place in CPH - Christiania.

Something sweet and nice, spotted on a corner bakery in the heart of Copenhagen. Enchanting danish delights!

Last but not least, let me introduce you to the symoble of the city - THE LITTLE MERMAID. Nothing that special about this one, but in spite of that people still stay in queue to take pictures with this creature.
In a few words I could sum up Copenhagen as the city that I would always come back to, not only to visit but to live. It’s one of the fewest cities that offered me the feeling of home, welcoming, the place to be! Maybe it’s just me, but for some reason I felt that and therefore I am sharing it with everyone :)

Greets,
niko!
